JEFF BALKE Add a big dose of Whimsy and outright fun to any show with Jeff Balke and his own unique "Sketch Coloring," which can be applied to any sketch by any artist. Either on the original or on a copy of the original.
Jeff is an entrepreneur, animator, voice actor, colorist and producer who through his animation studio, JeffBalke Studios which focuses on 2D CEL Animation. In addition to creating animations, the studio also produces weekly Comic Strips, Comic Strips ANIMATED! and Comic Books.
He is also as an Award Winning Comic Book Colorist and has worked on more than 300 comic books, and has worked with companies such as Marvel, Image, Zenescope, and Storm King Productions just to name a few.
Jeff has also been nominated twice for the Eagle Awards for Best Comic Book Colorist, and won the ShelDorf Award in 2011 for Colorist of the Year. In 2007 he created something called Sketch Coloring™ (HISversion of commissions as a colorist). Sketch Coloring is when Jeff colors (with markers by hand) most anything black and white (comic, print, poster etc.) making what’s colored POP right off that image and leaving some of that item black and white, which makes it one of a kind and unique.
Programming Notes: Jeff is always available for panels or demos, and is at his table all hours of the show to engage the fans.
